Frequently Asked Questions
General
Yes! As long as you are located in either Pennsylvania or in Maryland, I can provide virtual sessions.
I understand that unexpected situations can come up, and schedules can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule our session, I ask that you give me at least 24 hours' notice so that I can potentially offer that session slot to another client.
Late cancellation fee (less than 24 hours' notice): $60.00 (half of session cost)
No-show fee: $120.00 (full session cost)
I appreciate your understanding!
Your first counseling session is a bit different from the others. In the first session, we do an intake, which allows me to get to know a bit more about you as we begin our work together. I will ask questions about your presenting concerns, your family history, cultural background, health history, etc. to get a holistic picture of you. This is also a chance for you to ask me questions and for me to share more information about my approach to counseling!
You can pay self-pay, which costs $120.00 per 50-minute session (I also offer a sliding scale as needed). If preferred, I can provide you with a superbill after each session so you can submit it for reimbursement to your insurance company. If you have out-of-network benefits, a superbill document will have everything your insurance company needs to reimburse you.
I keep a waitlist if it is a client's preference. Generally, though, if I don't have any current availability, I try to refer clients to other counselors in the area to make sure that you get the services you need as soon as possible. If you decide to wait for a spot with me, I will contact you when I have availability!
